Used Frank Baines Working Hunter (all purpose) English Saddle.
Imported from England. Luxurious leather, extra d-rings for trail riding. Great
for showing, dressage, jumping, and endurance riding. See page for more details.

Frank Baines Saddlery is a well-known and respected saddle-maker in England and
has their family has been in the saddle business for over 150 years. The
company has won prestigious competitions such as "the Best Made Saddle" on seven
occasions and the "Best New Product Award" at the British Equestrian Trade
Association trade show in Germany.
Frank Baines is at the forefront of contemporary saddle design...
This is not your typical Wintec or English saddle! Once you sit in this
luxurious leather and perfect design, you will forever be spoiled! Nothing will
compare.

Photo to left shows saddle sitting on Spanish saddle pad. Center photos shows
saddle on 16.2 hd 1500 lb Andalusian, 3rd photo shoes rider position. Fourth
photo shows use on narrower Arab with wither riser.
The "working hunter" has a knee flap built in. From the Frank Baines website it
says "...well designed saddle for those who enjoy showing, dressage, and flat
work ... complete freedom for the horse's shoulder ... ideal saddle for multi
purpose. Also very popular with distance riders and is well suited to those with
short backed horses... incorporating fine English craftsmanship,
the generous panels, flocked with the finest pure white wool give excellent
weight distribution and the balanced seat ... offer the rider absolute
comfort and security."
Nothing wrong with the saddle - only selling because I have sold both horses
that fit this saddle and am currently riding in western saddle.

It is very secure and comfortable. Even when my horse spooked, I never came off.
The knee blocks help keep you in the saddle but don't get in the way of posting.
Several d-rings allow you to carry extra items or use a breast collar.
Frank Baines saddles sell for around $3,000 new. I paid $1,800
for this saddle from Trumbull Mountain Saddlery several years ago. It has been
well-cared for and frequently cleaned and oiled.
17.5 inches. Rides like a 17" or 16.5" if you add sheepskin
padding or seatsaver. I am 5'6" and 175 lbs - and it is plenty big for me.

Medium-wide tree. Fits most blocky built, wider type horses.
Was used for my round, baroque style 15.2 hand Peruvian Paso and my 16 hand
Arabian (was a little wide for him as he was narrow). Will also fit my
Andalusian (very wide back). Horse needs to be fairly wide for this saddle with
a medium wither. Can be re-flocked and fit to your horse by a saddle fitter
since it comes with wool-flocked panels.
Comes with wintec leathers but no stirrups. See our other tack for sale for
accessories.
At $850 plus s/h, this saddle is priced to sell - you won't find a
better quality English saddle suitable for endurance riding or all-purpose for
this price!
Shipping is $60 one-way UPS. Will allow 2-week trial and return
if buyer pays for return shipping and ships saddle back in same condition within
2 weeks after buyer receives it. Must be paid in full for trial. Does not come
with stirrups but may be able to ship endurance type stirrups if you agree to
